Devkota elected as president of FNJ-Bagmati State

Makawanpur: – Shiva Devkota of Nuwakot has been elected as the president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Bagmati State with 541 votes.
Similarly, Hari Pokharel of Chitwan polled 421 votes while Girija Adhikari of Makawanpur polled 261 votes, according to the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Bagmati Province Election Committee.
Accordingly for the post off Vice-president, Rupesh Dulal of Makawanpur has won the post with 455 votes. Hari Humagain of Makawanpur got 401 votes while Nawaraj Chatkuli of Dhading got 334 votes.
Nanimaiya (Samjhana) Karki of Makawanpur has won the women’s vice-president with 690 votes whereas another candidate Sangita Acharya got only 484 votes.
For the post of Secretary, Yuvaraj Puri of Sindhupalchowk was elected as the secretary with 659 votes while another Candidate Dayaram Mahat got only 490 votes.
Also for the post of Secretary (Inclusive), Jivan Lama of Dolakha got 543 votes while Rajan BK of Sindhuli elected as Secretary obtaining 617 votes in the election.
Ramesh Dhungel of Ramechhap has won the post of treasurer with 662 votes while another candidate Ram Chandra Nepal has got 511 votes.
Jeevan Kunwar was elected as open member with 638 votes, Ramahari Gajurel with 618 votes, Shyam Prasad Khatiwada with 548 votes, Santosh Bhujel with 565 votes and Sudip Shivakoti with 619 votes.
Anju Tamang got 676 votes, Samjhana Humagain 690 votes and Gyanu Shrestha 628 votes and have been elected as the member (Open).
Although, Krishna Prasad Dhungana got 520 votes, Gopi Neupane 512 votes, Prakash Sigdel 526 votes, Prem Prasad Paudel 416 votes, Laxman Ghimire 443 votes, Savita Neupane 525 votes and Savita Shrestha 524 votes for the post of Member, they lost the election.
On the Dalit side, Keshav Nepali got elected with 680 votes while another candidate Prakash Sigdel got 460 votes.
Kaji Shrestha and Pema Lama have been elected as the member (Aadibasi Janajati) obtaining 618 and 617 votes respectively.
According to the Election Committee, Pavitra Dhakal Bhagat and Pravin Kumar Dutt were elected unopposed from the Madhesi side and Nirashi Thami from the minority side.
