Khanal Meets UNGA President Dr. Rahman
New York: Foreign Minister of Nepal, Shishir Khanal held a meeting with the President of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Dr. Khalilur Rahman.
In the meeting held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, Foreign Minister Khanal congratulated Dr. Rahman on his election to the presidency of the 81st session of the General Assembly and wished him a successful tenure.
He also expressed Nepal’s commitment to provide full cooperation and support during the president’s tenure.
During the meeting, discussions were held between the two on the priority issues of the General Assembly president and the importance of further strengthening multilateralism with the United Nations.
Views were also exchanged on the impact of the recent devastating climate-induced disaster in Nepal and the damage it caused.
