Editor of tukhabar, Adhikari is to be honored with ‘Janasewa Shree’
Makawanpur: – Stating that journalism has made a special contribution to the society, it has been announced that Girija prasad Adhikari, editor of tuhabar.com will be honored with ‘Janasewa Shree’. On the occasion of the Constitution Day 2078 BS, the Ministry of Home Affairs has mentioned that the individuals and organizations who have made significant contribution to the society from different fields will be honored with different title.
Adhikari, who is a journalist, writer and lyricist, was born in 2042 BS in Sindhupalchowk district and is now a permanent resident of Makawanpur.
Adhikari has led the editorial department in newspapers, FM Radio and television. He is the Senior Sub Editor of Shourya Daily, a news magazine published from Kathmandu, the Editor of Thaha Sandesh Daily and Pradesh Daily, the Desk editor of Team Television and the editor of Saam Weekly.
He has worked as a reporter, news chief and editor of FM radios including Manakamana FM, National FM, Radio Paschimanchal of Palpa, Radio Sagarmatha, Shakti FM and Radio Sarobar. Adhikari has published poem titled ‘Aksharka Julusharu’, ‘Itihas Ra Lal Jha’ and ’25 Pratiwad’. Also he had edited a research book called ‘Makawanpur Journalism (History and Review) as well as he has been seen active in lyrics writing.
Earlier, Adhikari has been awarded with the ‘Youth Journalism Award’ by the Press Council Nepal. He has also been awarded the National Information Commission’s Information Award’, Education Journalism Award, Kantipur Journalism Award, Pahal Outstanding Investigative Journalism Award and the Reporters Club’s Active Youth Journalism Award.
