Makawanpur: – The road from Bhaise to Bhimfedi which is short route to reach from Hetauda to Kathmandu will be widened. The 14-kilometer road from Bhaise to Bhimfedi is being widened to 10 meters wide.
According to Sahadev Bhandari, director of the Transport Infrastructure Directorate, Bagmati Pradesh, a contract agreement has been signed with Ashish JV for road expansion at a cost of Rs 38 Crores. He informed that discussions are being hold to widen the road. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development of the state has stated the discussion is being hold to compensate the owner if the land or the house falls under the road.
Earlier, the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development is working to widen the road from Bhimfedi to Kulekhani Hebhi. The work of widening 8 km road from Bhimfedi to Chakamke by 10 meters has reached the final stage. Out of that, 6 meters of road will be pitched. Similarly, work is underway to widen the 7.5 km road from Chakamke to Hebhi by 10 meters.
Director Bhandari informed that the work of widening the road will be completed by the end of this month. He said that the Bhimfedi-Sisneri road from Hetauda to Kathmandu would be opened for small vehicles from Chaitra-10.
