Makawanpur: – The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Development of Bagmati Province has given impetus to the road construction work in a period of three years. The ministry, which has the highest development budget among the seven ministries in the state, has constructed 2,583 kilometers of roads in a period of three years.
According to Rameshwor Phuyal, Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development of the state, the state government has started working on the big schemes under which construction work of 3.2 meter long tunnel from Bhimphedi to Kulekhani under Madan Bhandari road connecting Hetauda-Kathmandu has started for which international bids for the project, which will cost Rs 20 Arba, has reached in its final stage.
Similarly, the state government is working on big and important projects including the state ring road and the Kathmandu ring road, he informed.
Ministry has informed that a detailed report of a state ring road which will connect Ramechhap, Dolakha, Sindhuli, Nuwakot, Dhading, Chitwan, Makawanpur, Sindhupalchowk and Kavreplanchowk has been prepared in the cooperative with central government in the expense of 2 Crores.
