Makawanpur. District Milk Producers Cooperative Association Makawanpur has started the process for the establishment of processing milk industry. On Saturday, the members of the association, the presidents of the organizations and the managers gathered and started the process after holding necessary discussions for the establishment of the industry.
Basudev Adhikari, president of the association, said that the association has taken forward the land purchase process required for setting up the industry.
Chairman of the Central Dairy Association Narayan Prasad Devkota said that the establishment of the industry would reduce the possibility of ‘Milk Holi Day’ at a time when milk produced by farmers is being produced in large quantities.
The Bagmati State Government has allocated Rs. 7.5 million to the Makawanpur District Dairy Cooperative Union on the recommendation of the Central Dairy Cooperative Union this fiscal year.
The meeting has decided to invest insufficient amount for the establishment of the industry by the member organizations of Makawanpur District Dairy Association. The estimated budget for the establishment of the industry is about 30 Crore.
Manager of the association Kumar Mani Dahal said the work has been started to start the production by the next year 2078 BS.
