Hetauda Sub-metropolis hands over 1 Million to Federation of Nepali Journalist
Makawanpur. Hetauda Sub-metropolis has handed over 1 million for the senior Journalist pension Program run by the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Makawanpur.
Mayor of the Sub-metropolis Hari Bahadur Mahat handed over the amount to FNJ Makawanpur branch president Hari Humagain on Friday.
Mayor Mahat said that Rs. 10 Lakhs has been transferred as per the request of the federation to provide monthly pension for senior Journalists. He said that the sub-metropolis is ready to be a helper for journalists who cover news at any time by taking risks.
In order to provide pension to the journalists who have retired after years of journalisms, the federation has formulated working procedures and held discussion in the working committee meeting. Chairman of the FNJ Makawanpur branch Humagain said that preparation have been made to pass the working procedures from the general assembly of the federation.
The sub-metropolis have provided treatment materials run by the Federation of Nepali Journalists, insurance corona and accident insurance for journalists and relief materials for journalists who are in trouble during lockdown.
