Gautam elected as President of FNJ-Makawanpur
Makawanpur: – Maniraj Gautam has been elected as the president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Makawanpur. In the election held this morning at the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Makawanpur, Gautam defeated Bal Krishna Adhikari of Press Chautari and was elected from the Press Union and Press Center Alliance.
Gautam received 100 votes and his rival Adhikari got 56 votes for the post.
Similarly, Dhurba Prasad Adhikari has been elected as Vice-president, Sarala Adhikari as women vice-president, Subhalaxmi Shakya as Secretary (Open), Mandira Baniya (Manabi) as Vice-secretary (Inclusive), Yam Prasad Paudel as vice-secretary (Open) and Keshav Samarpan as treasurer.
In the other hand for the women members, Rupa Gurung has been elected from the women’s side, Shanti Sunar from the Dalit side, Nawaraj Waiba from the Adibasi Janajati side and Aditya Karna from the member (Madhesi) side has been elected.
Similarly, Arjun Sanjel, Ujjwal Adhikari, Pradip Adhikari, Balram Pudasaini, Revati Prasad Timalsina (Navin), Vijay Paudel and Shrijana Nepal have been elected as open members respectively.
On the other hand, Ganesh Darpan Adhikari, Bishwaram Adhikari (Bibas), Rabindra Gautam, Shiva Chaulagain, Sujan Dhakal, Sunil Shivakoti, Aarti Dhakal, Bhavana Rijal and Amar Lama and Ashok Sujan Shrestha have been elected from the Provincial Council Member (Open). .
Where, Krishna Ram Pariyar has been elected as a member of the Provincial Council from Dalit side.
From the electtion, Bhanubhakta Acharya and Rajan (Khusraj) Dahal have been elected as Central Council members (open), Nanimaiya Bista has been elected as (Women) and Surwan Lal Shrestha Nibirodh has been elected as Central Council member (Adibasi Janajati).
In the election held at Hetauda Resort, only 161 out of 164 journalists belonging to the Makawanpur branch of the Federation of Nepali Journalists had cast their votes.
