Makawanpur:- Four candidates who had registered their candidacies for the election to be held on Wednesday, Chaitra-25, have withdrawn their candidacies today.

According to Election Officer Dhruba Prasad Chaulagain, Kaushal Pandey, Shyamlal Dulal (Ganesh), Ranjita Dangol and Kapil Khadka have withdrawn their candidacies.

Similarly, Maniraj Gautam and Bal Krishna Adhikari have registered their candidacies for the post of president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Makawanpur.

Similarly, Dhurba Prasad Adhikari and Rajan Dahal have nominated for the post of FNJ-Makawanpur vice-president, Samjhana Rijal and Sarala Adhikari have nominated for the post of women vice-president while Ram Sharan Dulal, Shubhalakshmi Bishwakarma and Indra Bahadur (Ramesh) Banjara have registered for the post of secretary.

Also, Mandira Baniya (Manabi) and Rupkaraj Kaliraj have been nominated for the post of FNJ-Makawanpur joint secretary, while Devraj Pant, Yam Prasad Paudel (AP Sharma) and Raj Sapkota have been nominated for the post of treasurer.

Whereas, Pratiksha Neupane and Rupa Gurung have registered their candidacies for women members while only Shanti Sunar has registered her candidature for Dalit members.

Similarly, Ajita Nagarkoti, Nawaraj Waiba and members (Madhesi) Aditya Karna and Manil Mahato have registered their candidacies among the members.

All together Sixteen candidates have filed nominations for the open membership so, 16 have filed nomination for the total 7 posts.

Arjun Sanjel, Ashesh Dhungana, Ujjwal Adhikari, Jibraj Bakhrel, Dil Bahadur Lama, Nanimaya Sapkota (Gautam), Pradip Adhikari, Pramod Aryal, Premkala Poudel (Priya), Balram Pudasaini, Revati Prasad Timalsina (Navin), Vijay Poudel, Suman. Dahal, Susan Lamichhane, Shrijana Nepal and Homnath Yadav Chaulagain have registered their candidacies. Earlier, 17 candidates had registered for the mentioned post.

On the other hand, Ganesh Darpan Adhikari, Chhabilal Shrestha, Vishwaram Adhikari (Vivas), Ravindra Gautam, Shiv Chaulagain, Sujan Dhakal, Sunil Shivakoti, Anjali Thapa, Aarti Dhakal, Bhavana Rijal, Amar Lama, Ashok Sujan Shrestha and Roshan Shrestha have given their candidacies for the membership of FNJ-Bagmati Province.

Only Krishna Ram Pariyar has registered his candidature on behalf of Dalits in the state FNJ.

Similarly, only Bhanubhakta Acharya, Rajan (Khusraj) Dahal, Ram Kumar Allen, Repesh Dahal, Nanimaiya Bista and Sarita Dahal have registered their candidacies for the post of Central Council Member (Open).

164 journalists belonging to the Makawanpur branch of the Federation of Nepali Journalists will participate in the voting process.
