Jhapa: – One person has died in an ambulance accident in Jhapa.

The driver of an ambulance (Ba 21 Cha 7984) heading from east to west died on the highway at Dudhe in Shivasatakshi Municipality Ward No. 11 on Thursday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Utsav Ghimire, 20, of Godavari Municipality, Ward No. 7 of Lalitpur.

Ghimire was seriously injured when the ambulance crashed uncontrollably. The injured died on the way to the hospital whereas Santosh Tamang, 20, of the same place was injured in the ambulance. He was taken to Birtamod Hospital for treatment, police said.
