World Water Congress begins in Canada

Canada (Toronto). The World Water Conference and Exhibition has started today in Toronto, Canada. The conference, which started at Canada’s Metro Toronto Convention Center, will continue until 15th of August. Organized by the World Water Association and with the support of other partners, the conference will discuss water crisis and conservation among stakeholders.

Water-related stakeholders and groups, experts and scientists are participating in the program. The program is discussing water challenges and their solutions.

Kala Vaiiravamoorthy, executive director of the World Water Association, speaking at the opening session of the conference, said that shaping the future of water is very challenging. Mentioning that it has both empowerment and challenges, he said that this conference will be an opportunity for a lasting impact for future generations.

He expressed optimism that the conference would encourage people to manage water and facilitate a conversation on matching the possibilities of technology with human needs.

In the event, Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow emphasized the importance of water for the city. World Water Association President Tom Mollenkopf AO, Conference President Peter Vanrolleghem and others gave speeches at the opening.

More than 100 sessions and 60 workshops will be organized in the program. There will be a broad discussion on how to manage water in the present and in the future, how to solve the water crisis.
