Aanchal honored with Rs 50,000

Makawanpur: – Aanchal Sahitya, an organization of women writers of Makawanpur, has been honored at a program organized in Hetauda today. Aanchal was honored with Rs 50,000 in a special literary program organized by Rudra Prasad Rijal Memorial Fund, Makawanpur.

Aanchal has been awarded with the ‘Bishnukumari Rijal Memorial Award-2077 BS’ in the program organized by the fund. The fund has stated that the contribution made by Aanchal, the only organization of women writers in the district, has been honored. It is mentioned that the organization has been honored for its contribution to Makawanpur literature by protecting women writers, encouraging the new generation in the field of literature and protecting the old ones.

Similarly, Swargadwari Ashram has also been honored with Rs 50,000 in the program. The Rudra Prasad Rijal Memorial Award-2077 BS has honored the ashram in Pashupati, Kathmandu. It is mentioned that the ashram has been honored for its contribution in the preservation of Nepali culture and language. The fund has been honoring the organizations and individuals who have contributed in various fields in the year 2055 BS.

Speaking on the occasion, Anita Neupane, chairperson of the region, said that the organization has got energy to work in the field of literature with respect. She said that the institutional development of Makawanpur literature has given more impetus to women’s literature. She thanked all the supporters saying that Aanchal was able to pick up speed with the help and support of everyone in a short time. Ram Chandra Acharya and Nandratna Sthapit spoke about the personalities of Basudev Prasad Rijal and Bishnukumari Rijal.

The chief guest of the program chaired by the Chairman of the Fund RC Rijal was Professor and Literary Writer Rambabu Ghimire. Ghazal writer Gyanuwakar Paudel, writer Nimesh Nikhil, comedian Tilak Raj Sharma, founding president of Aanchal Muna Aryal, Rudra Prasad and daughter of Bishnukumari Rijal Shobha Rijal Adhikari spoke on the occasion. A book titled “Mother’s Remembrance” written by Binu Ojha, daughter of Rudra Prasad and Bishnukumari Rijal, was released at the event.
