Kathmandu: – Two children died after drowning into a pond while swimming at Toudaha in Kirtipur Municipality-6 on Thursday.

The deceased have been identified as 8-year-old Krish Magar and 11-year-old Prashant Sunuwar. Their bodies have been sent to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for postmortem, according to the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police.

A Nepal Police Disaster Management Rescue Team and rescuers from Circle Kirtipur had found the bodies from a 15-foot-deep pond.
