Kathmandu:- The inauguration program of Melamchi water distribution project is being held by the Ministry of Drinking Water on Friday. Water distribution from Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu will be formally inaugurated this afternoon.

President Bidhyadevi Bhandari is scheduled to formally inaugurate the water distribution at 2 pm today where Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and other opposition leaders will also be present on the occasion as guests.

The program will be addressed by Kathmandu Mayor Bidhya Sundar Shakya, Prime Minister Oli and President Bhandari, according to the Ministry, the President will formally start the distribution of water by opening the tap in Bhrikuti Mandap. At the same time, the President is scheduled to open a water jet switch.

According to the Ministry of Water Supply, a video clip of the Melamchi project will be shown in the program as well as a cultural exhibition.
