‘One House- One Tap’ campaign in Bagmati

Makawanpur:- Bagmati Pradesh has intensified the ‘One House-One tap campaign for easy supply of drinking water. The state has completed 33 projects so far after the establishment of the state under the campaign to connect taps in the houses of all the 13 districts within the state within the next five years.

Chief of Bagmati Pradesh Drinking Water and Sanitation Division Rabin Shrestha said that Bagmati Pradesh completed 18 basic drinking water projects in the fiscal year 2075/076 and 15 drinking water projects in the fiscal year 2076/077 from which 74,153 people have benefited.

He said that there have been 28 drinking water quality improvement projects since the fiscal year 2075/076 and 24 sewage projects are under construction. According to Shrestha, 1,181 projects are under construction and in the process of construction in the fiscal year 2077/78, including 557 drinking water projects and 624 projects of Unions.

According to him, 25 more projects have been completed in the current fiscal year. The Bagmati State Government had allocated Rs. 1 Arba 90 Crores and 55 lakhs in the current Fiscal Year 2077/78 including the ‘One House One Stream’ campaign in its policies and programs while the conditional grant of the Union is 62 Crores and 15 Lakhs.
