Makawanpur: – The District Administration Office, Makawanpur, has sealed the ‘Sahid Smarak Khaja Ghar’ in charge of fraud with the customers.
A special monitoring team deployed on Wednesday sealed the shop after finding that a shop called Sahid Smarak Khaja Ghar in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 11 Martyrs’ Memorial was selling jars of drinking water at more than the stipulated price.
According to Sahadev Acharya, a representative at the District Administration Office, Makawanpur, the monitoring team has sealed the shop after the consumer came to the office along with the bill o selling jar water more than the indicated price. Similarly, the monitoring team monitored 18 shops including Hetauda Bazaar, Nawalpur’s food bridge and hotel, according to the District Administration Office, Makawanpur.
Some of the grocery stores were selling expired drinks, shops and sweet shops selling inedible dyes and the shops were called to the district administration office for questioning.
Similarly, preparations are being made to monitor various grocery shops and hotels along the East-West Highway and Tribhuvan Highway, said Information Officer Dev Chandra Gartaula.
The monitoring team includes a joint team of State Food Technology and Quality Control Office Home Office, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan Technical Officers, District Administration Office Officers and Consumers Committee officials.
