Damak: – A person was killed in a tipper accident at Damak on Saturday evening.

Neeran Basnet, 23, of Morang Ratuwamai Municipality-8 has been injured when a tipper (Pradesh-1-02-001 108) heading east from the west hit a motorcycle (Pradesh-1-02-044P 8133) heading in the opposite direction on the East-West Highway at Damak-4 at 5:30 pm.

According to the District Police Office, Basnet died in the evening while during his treatment at Birtamod-based B&C Hospital.

Earlier, Anish Koirala, 24, of Ratuwamai Municipality-8, Morang, died on the way to the hospital.

Tipper driver Prakash Tamang, 49, of Damak-4 has been taken under control by the Damak Area Police Office for investigation.
