Kathmandu: – President Bidhya Devi Bhandari said that the country has been seeking party cooperation for the implementation of the constitution and strengthening of democracy and urged the leadership of all parties to remain focused on it.
President Bhandari convened an all-party meeting at Shital Niwas on Tuesday amid the political situation after the restoration of the parliament and the growing bitterness between the parties. Stating that mutual dialogue, cooperation and unity is the political beauty of Nepal, she pointed out the need to move the country forward through party unity and cooperation.
UML chairperson KP Sharma Oli, who was also present at the meeting, said that the country is looking for a fresh mandate and is in favor of dissolving the parliament. After that, Congress leader Barista Paudel said that election is not only the option and suggested the Prime Minister to move towards smooth functioning of the parliament.
“The prime minister’s insistence is on a fresh mandate. He is still in favor of dissolving the parliament,” Rastriya Janamorcha Chairperson Chitra Bahadur KC told reporters. This news has been published in today’s ‘Rajdhani Dainik’.
