Bagmati hold third in National Taekwondo

Makawanpur: – Bagmati Province has hold third place in the National Taekwondo Championship held in Itahari of Province No. 1.

In the competition held on Friday and Saturday, Bagmati Pradesh grabbed third position with 2 Gold, 4 silver and 3 Bronze medals.

In the competition, Lumbini Province with 6 gold medals and School Sports Federation with 4 gold medals have succeeded to be in the second place.

In the competition organized by the National Taekwondo Association, Itahari, Suraj Sangbo (63 kg) of Makawanpur won gold for Bagmati.

Similarly, Sangeeta Tamang won the gold medal for Pumsa, said Bagmati Pradesh team manager Bhoj Raj Par Julie.

Similarly, Chhaya Devi Acharya of Chitwan won silver medal in the 51 kg weight category while Aditya Parajuli of Makawanpur, Sabita Moktan of Makawanpur and Sandesh Gautam of Makawanpur won silver medals.

Pradip Parajuli of Makawanpur (35-40 kg weight category), Rajan Malla of Chitwan (58 kg weight category) and Susmita Gurung of Dhading from Pumse won bronze medals.

Member Secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC) Ramesh Kumar Silval presented shields, medals and certificates to the medal winners where Dipendra Nepali was the team coach of Bagmati Pradesh.
