Makawanpur: – About 80% of the private houses in Thaha Municipality which is northern part of Makawanpur have been completed.
According to the information provided by the National Reconstruction Authority, all together about 80% of the private houses have been reconstructed after five year of the earthquake in Nepal.
Chief of the municipality, Labsher Bista, informed that 5,109 families out of the beneficiaries have already received the grant amount for the third installment.
Moreover, the earthquake had affected 7,098 private houses in the respective municipality. Out of which, 6,571 had signed an agreement for construction. Reconstruction work in ward No. 8 of the municipality has accelerated where about 92% of the private houses have been reconstructed.
So far, 527 earthquake victims have not signed the grant agreement. According to the District Project Implementation Unit, Makawanpur, the contract period has been expired for them.
