Makawanpur: – The Makawanpur Tamang Artists’ Association has distributed tokens of respect and love to people of different genres. The association reviewed the Lhochhar special cultural program in Hetauda on Saturday and distributed tokens of respect and love to people of different castes.
Reviewing the Lhochhar program held on Magh-30 the association has distributed tokens of respect and love to the artists, media persons and intellectuals who have contributed to the preservation of the Tamang language and culture.
Som Bahadur Ghalan, the first folk singer of Makawanpur, was awarded with Rs 25,000 in cash.
Similarly, On the occasion, media persons Sandesh Thing, Dil Bahadur Lama and Sundar Lama, the creator of the song Cherengain, were given letters of appreciation.
Chairman of the Association Dhiren Lama presided over the function. Chairman of the Tamang Film Association Biku Thokar, Advocate Amrit Lama, Chairman of the District Sports Development Committee Sanu Lama Dong and others were present on the occasion.
