Makawanpur: – A secondary level speech contest and Accident Reduction programs have been hold on the fifth day of the annual festival of Radio Thaha Sanchar 99.6 FM Hetauda, run by Bindawasini Media Pvt.
The competition was held on the fifth day of the week-long program organized on the occasion of the thirteenth anniversary of the radio.
In the competition in which 14 schools participated, Siddhartha Secondary School, Sarvajyaratna Khatiwada hold first position, Sapana Bartaula of Nirmal Secondary became second and Shramika Kandel hold third position in the competition.
The first, second and third place winners were awarded cash prizes of Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 respectively.
The program was chaired by Radio Station Manager Maniraj Gautam and hosted by Narayani Transport Company Pvt. Ltd. Chairman Hiralal Shrestha.
Assistant Inspector of Police Dayaram Gautam of District Traffic Police Office Makwanpur, General Secretary of Narayani Sangh Hetauda Saroj Khanal and Arjun Subedi of Prudential Hetauda played decisive roles in the competition.
Makawanpur Balvidya Sadan, Baljagruti Secondary, Siddhartha Secondary, Amar Secondary, Bhutan Devi Secondary, Budwa Secondary, Hetauda Academy, Shree Tribhuvan Namuna Secondary, Nirmal Secondary Bastipur, Pragati Mavi, Navodaya Mavi, Janajyoti Mavi, Chandrodaya Mavi and Tulsimehar Memi had participated in the competition.
On the first day of the week-long program, the cyclists and the Makawanpurgadhi villagers interacted on the child-friendly campaign. An interaction has been held on the role of Manahari village municipality in promoting commercial fisheries.
A friendly football match will be organized between Hetauda Veterans and media persons on Phalgun-6 and station honor will be given at the closing ceremony of the annual festival on Phalgun-7, said station manager Gautam.
