Internet users in Nepal crossed 25 millions

Kathmandu: – The number of internet users in Nepal has increased tremendously due to the lock-down and virtual online classes started because of the Covid-19 epidemic. Based on the data of the Nepal Telecommunication Authority, the number of internet users in Nepal has reached the average of the total population.

According to the Nepal Telecommunication Authority, the internet has reached 25 million so far.  As one person has 2 to 3 SIMs, all Nepalese have still not access to the internet.

According to the NEA’s data up to last Kartik, high speed broadband internet has reached to 2 crores 29 lakhs 21 thousands and 180 people. Of which, 50 Lakhs 30 thousands and 449 lines of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have been distributed.

It is said that the number of access will be more as it will generate WiFi and distribute it to many people. The number of individuals using 4-Gfrom Nepal Telecom’s mobile is 20 lakhs 49 thousands and 916. This news is in today’s Rajdhani daily.
