Kathmandu: – Consumption of chicken meat has been declined due to the spread of bird flu in the Kathmandu Valley. Bird flu has been found in turkeys and ducks reared by farmers in the capital.
Rajan Shrestha, who has been running a meat shop in Banasthali of Kathmandu, said that the sale of meat has been decreased after the rumors of bird flu.
“About 20 percent less meat was sold on Sunday than usual,” said Shrestha. “Consumers are scared by the rumors that bird flu has been found.”
