Makawanpur: – The Bharatpur Metropolitan has provided Rs. 4 Crore for the construction of Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium in Rampur, Chitwan.

On Wednesday, Mayor Renu Dahal handed over a check of Rs 4 Crore to the chairman of the foundation Sitaram Kattel- Dhurmus at the metropolitan office. Dahal said that the Dhurmus Suntali Foundation has been repeatedly given Rs 4 Crore and now another Rs 4 Crore for the construction of the stadium from internal sources of the metropolis.

Accepting the check received from the metropolis, Dhurmus said that the assistance has facilitated the construction of the stadium. He said that the construction work of the stadium would be completed with the help of the local government and the people. Earlier, a ‘Mahayagya’ was organized to help build the stadium.

Bharatpur Metropolitan Chief Renu Dahal, Deputy Chief Parvati Shah, Chief Administrative Officer Prem Raj Joshi and others were present on the occasion.

Chief Administrative Officer of the metropolis, Joshi, said that the stadium, which has been taken as a project of pride of the Bharatpur Metropolitan City, will be completed with the help of the private sector also.
