Makawanpur. Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplava Group’ CPN cadres have set fire to a pickup van in Makawanpur this morning.

According to the Area Police Office, Palung, a pick-up jeep (Ba 13 Cha 7969) heading towards Kathmandu from Hetauda was set on fire by a team of 15 to 20 rebels at Indrasarovar Gaupalika Ward No. 4 Humane this morning.

The vehicle, which was returning to Kathmandu after unloading the goods, was completely damaged in the fire, said Police Inspector Vikas Kumar Tamang of the Area Police Office, Palung.

Police said that necessary investigation is underway into the incident.

As the CPN has called for a nationwide strike on Magh-10, people’s lives have been affected across the country, including Makawanpur district.
