Makawanpur: – Necessary preparations have been intensified for declaring three wards of Makawanpurgadhi village municipality of Makawanpur as child friendly wards.
The village municipality has stated that the necessary preparations have been intensified for declaring wards 3, 5 and 6 as child friendly wards by Chaitra, 2077 BS. A committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the ward chairperson and the secretary and member secretary of the ward office.
Secretary of the ward office Sonu Khadka is the member secretary of the Child Friendly Local Government Committee formed under the chairmanship of Bhagwat Ghimire in Ward No. 3 of Makawanpurgadhi.
The members of the committee are executive member Manju Yonjan, ward member Sarita Sapkota, Devi Duitel of the Child Protection Committee, Prem Prasad Dahal and Laxmi Phuyal from the Toll Development Institution, Bishnu Bahadur Khadka from the school, Apsara Lamsal and Sushant Dahal from the children’s club and Jung Bahadur Moktan from the police.
Similarly, Secretary of the Ward Office Hari Prasad Dhital is the secretary of the committee formed under the chairmanship of Chairman Jit Bahadur Ghimire in Ward No. 5. Among the committee members are ward members Usha Pariyar, Sukram Thing, Rama Nagarkoti of the Child Protection Committee, Arjun Rumba of Toll Development, Goma Phuyal, Raju Prasad Sanjel of the school, Karuna Dangal of the children’s club, grateful Humagain, Sarada Chaulagain of the social organization working in the field of children, Volunteer Mandira KC and police constable Chhotelal Shah Kanu.
Similarly, Secretary of the ward office Sagar Lama is the member of the committee formed under the chairmanship of Tika Prasad Dahal in Makwanpurgadhi Gaonpalika Ward No. 6. The members of the committee are Keshav Neupane, Rankumari Pariyar, Badriprasad Dahal, Suntalimaya Pakhrin, Sunil Gautam, Mankaji Ghalan, Ashok Syangtan, Anish Dahal, Manju Gautam, Sushila Phuyal and Virendra Yadav.
Shiva Chaulagain, a member of the Child Rights Committee of the municipality, Mandira Thapa, head of the women and children’s branch of the village, Kaviraj Humagain, employment coordinator of the municipality, Ram Prasad Dahal and Elena Devkota facilitated the child friendly local government committee.
The program was attended by elected ward members of the ward, representatives of ward level child protection committee, women volunteers, representatives of health organizations, police, representatives of toll development, representatives of children’s clubs and representatives of social organizations working in the ward.
