Makawanpur:- A local in Makwanpur has shown interest to search for a four-month-old baby who was abducted two months ago. The parents of a four-month-old baby of Jogital village in Manahari Gaunpalika-6 of Makawanpur have been alleging that the baby had been kidnapped on Mangsir-3 of 2077 BS.
Ekraj Upreti, chairman of the Manahari village municipality, said that a team would be sent to India to rescue the abducted child.
According to Upreti, the meeting of the Child Rights Committee was held after the locals came to know about the abduction of four-month-old baby (Krishna) of locals Som Bahadur and Sita Maya Tamang.
While the parents Somlal and Sita were busy at work, the boy was found lying in a swing while returning from work. A woman relative living in Chitwan, Rajasthan, India was also found missing along with her belongings. Ward Chairman Gopilal Moktan said that the family members have requested to take initiative for the rescue with the help of the local level after it was revealed that the woman had taken the baby to Rajasthan, India.
The Tamang family, which has been making a living by earning wages, has lost their son suddenly. A five-member team has been formed for the rescue of the child with the participation of the representatives of the District Police Office, Maiti Nepal, Human rights and Child Rights Network. Devraj Chaulagari, chief administrative officer of the village, said that the team has reached the place where the baby was found in coordination with Maiti Nepal and Indian police in India.
