Raksirang of Makawanpur Launches ‘Parents Rescue Health Program’
Makawanpur. The Raksirang Rural Municipality of Makawanpur has run a ‘Parents Rescue Health Program’ in collaboration with the Patan Institute of Health Sciences in Lalitpur.
In Chepang-majority Raksirang, doctors have been appointed to provide free health check-ups and medicines at home to the elderly over 70 years of age.
The program started from Raksirang-8 Devitar on Friday. Chairman of the village municipality Raj Kumar Malla said that the free treatment service has been started for the locals who have crossed 70 years of age.
He said that the program would reduce the number of deaths due to inability to treat common diseases due to poor economic condition.
The agreement has been reached for the purpose of treating the patients by directly contacting the doctors of the institute. The rural municipality has appointed MBBS doctor to run the program.
