Bagmati working on ‘Higher Education Act’

Makawanpur: – The Bagmati state government is going to present the Higher Education Act immediately. Chief Minister Dormani Paudel said that the state higher education act would be presented in the next sitting of the state assembly during the handover ceremony of the newly constructed building of Bhutan Devi Secondary School in Hetauda Sub-metropolis.

The act will also include the provision of opening a university in every district from an open university. “Now there is no shortage of desks and benches. There is no shortage of any kind of physical infrastructure. In such a situation, the quality of education will increase,” he said.

Chief Minister Paudel said that the Madan Bhandari Institute of Health Sciences in Hetauda is in the process of producing manpower like nurses, health assistants and doctors.

Recalling the early moments of the country’s educational movement, he said that the educational movement started by Bhutan Devi High School with 99 teachers has taken the form of a teachers’ organization today.
