15-day awareness program against sexual abuse in Hetauda
Makawanpur: – Awareness program against sexual harassment has been organized in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan Ward No. 11 today. An awareness program has been organized in Hetauda-11 today under the 15-day special campaign against sexual harassment jointly organized by District Police Office, Makawanpur, Community Service Center and Community Police Service Center, Hetauda-11.
Under the campaign, awareness programs have been conducted in various wards of Hetauda Sub-metropolis since Push-13.
Dev Kumar Shrestha, Vice President of Community Police Service Center, Hetauda-11, was the chief guest at the event.
He said that anyone who send adultery photos on Facebook, post videos, tease women in the public places, use double meaning words, touches in body of women in public buses or do any kind of sexual harassment is also sexual abuse and anyone who commits such acts should be brought to justice. He said, “It requires everyone’s support and cooperation.”
Assistant Inspector of Police Gokarna Thapa of Community Service Center Hetauda-11, Working Committee members Shyam Krishna Shrestha, Dev Krishna Thokkar, Chairman of Simaltar Toll Development Association Madhu Kumar Thapa Magar and representative of District Police Office Makawanpur Pavitra Giri were present on the occasion.
