Makawanpur: – The Indrasarovar Rural Municipality has conducted five-day health camps in every five wards with the objective to get information about the health condition of the senior citizens in the Municipality.

Through the camp jointly organized by the health branch of the ‘Rural municipality’ and the ‘women and children branch’, 380 senior citizens of the village municipality have received health benefits whereas 880 people have received fiber quilts as warm clothes in the winter season.

The Village Council has also passed a plan to provide health insurance to the senior citizens between 60 and 70 years of age within the village municipality this Fiscal Year.

While the government of Nepal has been continuing the program of providing free health insurance to the senior citizens who have completed 70 years of age, the Indrasarovar Rural Municipality has started the program to provide health insurance to the senior citizens who have completed 60 years of age considering their health conditions.
