Flights will not be postponed

Makawanpur: – The government has issued instructions to follow health safety standards as the risk of infection of the corona virus (Covid-19) has increased and has requested not to engage in any crowded activities.

A cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to close schools across the country. However, the flight schedule has been remained unchanged, at present.

As per the recommendation of COVID-19 Crisis Management Center, the decision-making educational institution has been closed and all the pre-scheduled examinations have been postponed till further notice.

Moreover, Schools and educational institutions will have to teach through virtual and alternative methods.

The meeting also decided that the local administration may issue a restraining order in 200 hilly and mountainous districts and 500 more in the valley and Terai / Madhesh district from Baiskhakh-12 where infected toll crossed 500.

Restriction has been done in over the valley as well as in Banke, Bardiya and Surkhet. The number of infected people is more than 500 in Morang, Parsa, Kaski, Dang and Rupandehi, 458 in Kailali and 488 in Chitwan.

The cabinet meeting has decided not to stop international and domestic flights immediately. Nepalese arriving from international flights will be kept in home quarantine for 10 days and foreigners will be kept in hotel quarantine.
