Office of election-officer set up in Hetauda

Makawanpur: – The Election Commission has set up an office of Election Officer in Hetauda, ​​the capital of Bagmati Province, for the by-election of National Assembly members.

According to the spokesperson of the commission, Raj Kumar Shrestha, the commission has sent a letter to the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs seeking the names of two district judges in consultation with the Judicial Council for the post of election officer.

The commission has decided to hold by-election for the vacant post of National Assembly member from Bagmati Pradesh on Jestha-6. The polling will be held on the same day from 9 am to 3 pm, according to the commission.

Members of the National Assembly will be elected by the members of the Provincial Assembly and local level chiefs and deputy chiefs.
