Eleven people have been killed in Birgunj, Parsa and Bara during the second wave of Corona. All of them had died within 15 days, Saroj Roshan Das informed. One of the dead died at Gandak Hospital on Saturday. As of Friday, 10 people had died due to corona. The death toll has risen to 11, including death on Saturday.

The deceased on Saturday has been identified as 53-year-old of Birgunj-13, according to the District Administration Office, Parsa. The man from Parsa had earlier died while undergoing treatment in Bharatpur. Additionally, two from Bara district and remaining from Parsa died to Covid-19 infection.

Infected people do not have the symptoms of cold and fever as before, but now they have symptoms of pneumonia directly in the lungs. It is becoming difficult to treat those who have such symptoms.

Forty infected people have been admitted to Narayani Hospital. 8 of them are serious. “I don’t understand why people are so careless,” he said. Das said, “The second wave of corona is not as normal as before.”

Chief District Officer of Parsa, Pitamber Ghimire, said that the infected people were kept in home isolation in coordination with the local administration and the municipality without being admitted to the hospital. The number of infected people has exceeded 1,000, including 90 who were added on Saturday.

Administrative Officer Vinay Srivasta, who is updating the data of the District Administration Office, said that there are only 577 active infected people. He argues that it is not normal to see such a number within 15 days and the unexpected increase in the death toll.
