Makawanpur: – The Judicial Committee formed in Hetauda Sub-metropolis has been becoming effective now. After the formation of the Judicial Committee in the sub-metropolis, the obligation to go to court in minor cases has come to an end.

The Judicial Committee of the sub-metropolis has been effective in deciding cases under its jurisdiction on the principle of reconciliation.

Most of the complaints in the Judicial Committee are related to mutual quarrels and children. The Judicial Committee is working to reconcile the complaints received by the Judicial Committee with the active participation of the local people’s representatives.

Chief of the Social Development Division of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan Municipality, Bhim Prasad Timalsina, said that the Judicial Committee works to settle the internal disputes among the concerned parties.

He informed that the Judicial Committee will not decide the case, determine the punishment and fine.

According to Timalsina, about 200 complaints have been lodged in the Judicial Committee in a year.

One of the victims expressed happiness that the problem was easily solved after the formation of the Judicial Committee.

Chief of the Social Development Division, Timalsina, said that the Judicial Committee has been working to make proper educational arrangements and guarantee for the backward children in the sub-metropolitan area and such activities will continue in the future.
