Gandaki State: No-confidence motion filed against CM

Makawanpur: – A no-confidence motion has been filed against Gandaki Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung in the Provincial Assembly Secretariat.

Twenty-eight members of the Nepali Congress, the CPN-Maoist Center and the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) have filed no-confidence motions. In which Congress parliamentary party leader Krishnachandra Nepali Pokharel has been proposed as the Chief Minister.

There are 60 members in the state assembly. Of them, CPN-UML has 27 MPs, 15 Congress MPs, 12 Maoist MPs, 3 Janamorcha MPs and 2 Jaspa MPs in Gandaki.

With the support of the Jana Morcha, the number of members reaches 32. As one of the Maoist MPs is the Speaker, the majority against Prithvi Subba seems to be 31.
