Makawanpur:- Om Lama, 55, of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan Municipality, Ward No. 11, who lost a leg in the accident, has been handed an artificial leg by the Sub-Metropolitan Municipality.

Mayor of Hetauda Sub-Metropolis Hari Bahadur Mahat handed over an artificial leg to Lama, who has lost a leg in an accident before 22 years.

He lost his left knee in a road accident at Benighat in Dhading in 2055 BS. After that, Mayor Mahat informed that the prosthetic leg was handed over to Lama.

He, who has been walking in Baishakhi (special kind of stick  made to walk for those who lose leg) due to poverty, expressed happiness over the assistance provided by the local government.

The Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan Municipality has handed over the prosthetic leg to Lama at a cost of Rs 150,000.
