Separate offices of each parties set up in Provincial Assembly
Makawanpur:- Separate offices of the ruling CPN-UML, CPN-Maoist Center and other smaller parties have been set up in the Bagmati Provincial Assembly Secretariat.
The ruling CPN (UML) Center and other smaller parties have also set up separate offices in the Bagmati State Assembly after the integrated CPN dissolved and CPN-UML and CPN Maoist formally got new stream by the decision of Court.
According to the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, an office has been set up on the upper floor of the CPN-UML Provincial Assembly Secretariat today.
Similarly, a separate parliamentary party office and assembly hall have also been set up inside the CPN-Maoist’s state assembly premises, said Krishna Hari Khadka, chief secretary of the state assembly secretariat.
However, the office of the opposition party, the Nepali Congress, remained same.
Along with the CPN-UML, other smaller parties have set up their offices on the upper floor of the library on the north side of the Provincial Assembly Secretariat.
There are currently 110 members in the state assembly, including 57 from the CPN-UML, 23 from the main opposition party CPN-Maoist, 22 from the opposition Nepali Congress, three from the Common Discretionary Party, two from the Nepal Kisan Mazdoor Party, two from the RPP and one independent.
The seventh convention meeting of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly Secretariat is scheduled to be held on Chaitra-24 at 1 p.m. The seventh sitting of the state assembly, which started on Magh-7, was adjourned after a general discussion on the no-confidence motion filed against state chief minister Dormani Paudel on Magh-9.
After that, the seventh session of the Provincial Assembly, which was postponed several times, decided to withdraw the no-confidence motion filed against the Chief Minister.
