Makawanpur: – The Bagmati state government is going to purchase 30 electric buses for which the state government has invited international bids for the purchase of the bus on Wednesday.
The bus procurement process has been taken forward through the Provincial Transport Operation and Management Board under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development of Bagmati. Bids have been invited for the purchase of 30 electric buses, including 20 large buses and 10 long-distance buses.
Similarly, a 45-day tender has been invited for the purchase of 15 vehicle chargers for the charging stations of electric buses, said Rabindra Maharjan, executive deputy director of the board. Deputy Director Maharjan also informed that the construction work of charging station has been started in coordination with the local levels.
Earlier, the process of purchasing electric vehicles had not progressed as there was no executive director of the state transport operation and management board.
