Makawanpur: – The Kulekhani Hydropower Project has stated that there will be no obstruction in the regular power generation even if the gap in the Indrasarovar Reservoir of Kulekhani under Indrasarovar Village Municipality of Makawanpur is not filled due to insufficient rainfall during the rainy season.
Chief of Kulekhani Hydropower Project-I Dhirendra Prasad Chaudhary said that the Indrasarovar reservoir will continue to generate 60 MW electricity from Kulekhani -I, 32 MW from II and 14 MW from III.
He clarified that the electricity generated from Kulekhani I of Bhimphedi Gaupalika-4, Kulekhani II from Bhainse of Bhimphedi-2 and Sanotar of Ward No. 1 has been connected to the central grid of Kathmandu.
Chief of Kulekhani-I Project Chaudhary informed that the company has been supplying electricity to consumers in different cities including Kathmandu and Hetauda and industries in the industrial sector as per the demand of consumers.
