Makawanpur:  – The national agricultural census conducted by the Central Statistics Office every 10 years will be held in 2078 BS. This was informed by the District Statistics Office, Makawanpur in an interaction program organized with the stakeholders in Hetauda on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief of the Office Rajesh Das said that the census will be carried with objective of finding impact on agriculture, agricultural practices, production from agriculture, income, crops planted, transportation, market management, sales and problems.

According to Leela Mishra, director of the Central Statistics Office, the data will be collected through direct interviews with 325,000 to 350,000 farming families.

The census is also to be conducted in the Terai region from Poush to Phalgun whereas in the Himalayan district from Baishakh to Asadh of 2079 BS.
