Melamchi water: 75 liters per person
Kathmandu: – The Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation has stated that the people of the capital can use 75 liters of Melamchi water per person per day.
It is estimated that about 10 people live in each house and use up to 75 liters of water.
Earlier, it was estimated that there were about four people living in one house.
According to the 2068 census, the population of the valley is about 29 Lakhs. It is estimated that this number has now reached more than 40 lakhs.
Chief of the Melamchi Drinking Water Project, Triresh Prasad Khatri, said that water would be distributed for two hours every day. This news is in today’s Kantipur daily.
