‘Sahitya Sangam’ Makawanpur announced honors and awards

Makawanpur: – Sahitya Sangam Makawanpur has decided this year’s honor and award to the author active in the field of literature. The decision was taken at a meeting of association on Saturday.

Sangam, a leading literary organization in Makawanpur, has decided to honor the Gopal Prasad Rimal Memorial Award to poet Gopal Parajuli. Chairman of Sangam Nimesh Nikhil informed that Sangam will honor Parajuli, a resident of Kathmandu, with a cash award of Rs 20,000. Her book ‘Naya Ishwarko Ghosana-Declaration of a New God’ has won the Madan Award. This honor was established by his family in the memory of Gopal Prasad Rimal. Literary playwrights Sarubhakta, Ashesh Malla and Tulsi Thapa have been honored with this award.

Similarly, it has been decided to honor Dr. Arun Upreti with the Parijat Memorial Award. The amount of honor established by Adarsh Toll Development Association Hetauda-10 is Rs. 15,555.

Similarly, Makawanpur Literature will be awarded to Shree Samman Apsara Timsina Lamsal. Sangam is going to posthumously honor her with Makawanpur Sahitya Shree of Rs 15, along with the certificate. She was the vice president of Sahitya Sangam and the founding vice president and president of Aanchal Sahitya Kala Punj Makawanpur. This honor is established by Sahitya Sangam Makawanpur.

The Bhairav ​​Memorial Award will be given to Birgunj-based literary satirist Ganesh Lath. Chairman Nikhil informed that he will be honored with a certificate and Rs. 21,111. His family has established this honor in the memory of satirist Bhairav ​​Aryal. Creators like Dhurmas Suntali Foundation, Rajkumar Lamichhane, Chatyang Master, Manoj Gajurel and others have been honored with this honor.

Similarly, it has been decided to award the Subhadra Devi Madan Mudwari Memorial to Ram Bartola (Anshu). Bartola, a resident of Palung in Makawanpur, will be given a letter of appreciation along with Rs 10,000 in cash. Literary writer Deepak Mudwari, who currently lives in USA, has established this honor in the memory of his parents.

Shyam Prasad Sharma Memorial Literary Award will be given to Makawanpur based satirist RC Rijal. Secretary of Sangam, DB Bartaula, informed that Rijal, who has been supporting the institutional development of Makawanpur literature, will be honored with a certificate along with Rs 15,000 in cash. This honor has been established by the office of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan Ward No. 4.

Similarly, Mangaladevi Shrestha Smriti Nari Samman will be given to epic poet Muna Aryal. The amount of the honor established by education and literary activist Dev Shrestha in the name of mother is Rs. 7,777. Sangam has stated that she will be honored  with this award this year.

Literary writer Bhuvan Hari Sigdel will be awarded the Bhesnath Adhikari Memorial Award. The award, established by Sangam’s working committee member Vishal Adhikari Ashutosh in memory of his father, is being given to Kathmandu resident Sigdel along with Rs 15,000 in cash. The amount of this honor was Rs. 10,000 in the previous year and this year the amount has been increased to Rs. 15,000.

Similarly, it has been decided to honor Ujwal Baral with the Shesh Jung Memorial Story Award to, a student of Chandrodaya High School. The award is being given to Baral, who is studying in class 10 at Chandrodaya Secondary School in Hetauda-8, along with Rs 2,500. Educationist Dandi Jung Shah has established this award in the memory of his son. The award will be given to the best one through a story writing competition among the students studying at the medium level of the district.

The award, established by satirist RC Rijal in memory of his mother, is worth Rs 5,000. This award has been given to the best one among the students studying in the secondary schools of the district by competing in various disciplines of literature.

The honors and awards will be given in a special literary program to be organized on the regular evening of Sangam on Baiskhakh-11 of 2078 BS, said Vice President Anita Neupane. Neupane said that the honors and awards are being given once in a while due to the corona virus infection.
