International Women’s Day: Best wishes of Deputy Speaker Tamang
Makawanpur: – Radhika Tamang, Deputy Speaker of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly, wished Nepali women all over the world on the occasion of the 111th International Women’s Day.
She expressed confidence that the International Women’s Day, which is being celebrated all over the world as a symbol of gender equality from a political, social and economic point of view, would be an energy and inspiration for Nepali women as well.
She also added that despite of women’s right and gender equality, there are a lots of problems related to the women in the nation which has been gained after along political wars.
She mentioned that the 111th International Women’s Day is being celebrated under the slogan ‘Women’s Security, Respect and Employment: The Basis of Prosperous Nepal’.
Talking to Tu Khabar, Deputy Speaker Tamang said that it is unfortunate that even in the advanced stage of the 21st century, it isnot possible to get rid of the stigma of human civilization such as gender discrimination, rape and trafficking.
She also expressed the belief that the 111th International Women’s Day would inspire people to be responsible and responsible for making their society and civilization civilized and prosperous.
