Makawanpur: – So far, decision over 89 cases has been made in the Judicial Committee of the Bakaiya Gaupalika of Makawanpur. Sarala Bolakhe, vice-chairperson of the village municipality, said that 89 cases have been settled so far in the judicial committee established in Bhadra of 2074 BS.

According to her, out of the cases registered in the Judicial Committee so far, 5 cases have been sent for discussion and 3 cases have been sent for court proceedings.

Bolakhe says that as soon as the case present before the Judicial Committee, the conciliator under her leadership is activated to solve it and prevent any action that could be detrimental to justice.

She said that maintaining public confidence in justice amidst various problems is  an important achievement.

In the Judicial Committee has been registering a large number of cases such as domestic violence, land related issues, joint boundaries, upbringing of senior citizens and marital relations.
