Makawanpur: – The Municipal Cup men’s and women’s volleyball tournament is scheduled to start in Hetauda from Phalgun-19 today. The competition is being organized by Keshabalal Shrestha Memorial Foundation in Hetauda from today.

Chief Mayor of Hetauda Sub-Metropolis Hari Bahadur Mahat is scheduled to inaugurate the competition to be held at Hetauda-4 Huprachaur Sports Ground.

There will be 10 teams for women and 13 teams for men in the competition which will be conducted till Phalgun-22.

Similarly, the winner and runner-up of the competition will receive Rs 50,000 and Rs 30,000 cash prizes, shields, medals and certificates respectively.

Similarly, the departmental best players will each receive a prize of Rs 2,500 in cash, a shield, a medal and a certificate.

The Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan Municipality has provided Rs. 250,000 and the Provincial Sports Development Council has provided Rs. 30,000 for the games which will cost a total of Rs. 600,000 and the remaining amount will be collected by mobilizing other resources, said the organizer.
