Makawanpur: –  The 26th general convention of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, an umbrella organization of journalists, has started in the capital Kathmandu with the main slogan of ‘Press Swantantratako Aadhar, Surkakshit ra Byawasaiyik Patrakar’.

The program organized at the National Assembly was inaugurated by Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun ‘Pasang’.

As soon as the open session is over, the closed session will begin in the National Assembly. The program is being prepared to end today by passing the reports submitted by General Secretary Ramesh Bista and Treasurer Rajesh Mishra.

As per the provision in the constitution, the election for the new working committee of the federation will be held within a month after the inauguration ceremony of the general convention.
