Makawanpur: – Construction work of Madan Bhandari Memorial Sports Ground in Manahari Village Municipality, Ward No. 7, Ramauli has gained accelerated.

According to the Ekraj Upreti, Chairperson of the Gaupalika, it has been informed that the work of the playground has been picked up by preparing a detailed project Proposal (DPR) and the ground expected to be constructed at a cost of Rs 45 Crores.

During it’s construction, initially work of compound constructed has been started in 20 Bighas of land provided for the playground through the Consumers Committee.

Similarly, the Bagmati State Government has allocated budget of Rs. 40 Lakhs and Ministry of Youth and Sports Rs 30 Lakhs from which the work has been started.

Chairperson Upreti informed that additional supports are being expected from the state government and the federal government every year for the development and progress.

All the required ground, cricket pitch and swimming pools which are necessary for the playground will be constructed in the area, informed Gaupalika.

It has been targeted to develop best playground of west By finishing the under construction playground of Manauli, according to Navin Subedi, Head of the Sports Development Committee of Manahari.
