Makawanpur: – Hitendra Dev Shakya has been appointed as the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority. The cabinet meeting held on Monday appointed Shakya as the acting executive director.

The Ministry of Energy had appointed Shakya as the acting executive director of Nepal Electricity Authority on Kartik-21.  Deputy Executive Director Shakya was appointed after withdrawing his job from ‘NEA Engineering Company’.

The then energy minister Barshaman Pun had given the responsibility to Lekhnath Koirala on the basis of seniority. However, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who disagreed with Ghising’s reappointment, expressed dissatisfaction with the minister, saying that the senior official of the authority had been removed and the junior had been given the responsibility.
